Monday 15th October  "Chichester in the 1950s: A Decade of Change" an Emsworth Museum talk by Alan Green Today's first-time visitor to Chichester would find a nicely preserved, intact historic town relatively untouched, but those residents living in the city in the 1950s know better. Resentment against what happened in 1964 (the loss of Somerstown and Sharp Garlands) still runs deep. In this illustrated talk, local historian and writer, Alan Green, will look at how and why Chichester's townscape was changed by the 1960s.  All talks begin at 7.30pm in Emsworth Community Centre, North Street, Emsworth. Doors open 7pm. EH&HT members £3, non-members £4.
